The incision can be made in the crease where the breast meets the chest (inframammary), around the areola (periareolar), or in the belly button (scarless breast augmentation). Working through the incision, your breast tissue and skin will be lifted to create a pocket, either directly behind the breast tissue (subglandular) or underneath your chest wall muscle (subpectoral) and the implants are then centered beneath your nipples. The incision is in the belly button, and through this incision, a small camera (endoscope) is used to create tunnels to the breast areas, the pockets are created, and the implants are maneuvered through the belly button into place beneath your nipples. By removing excess skin and tightening supportive structures, perkier, shapelier breasts with the appropriate sized areola and the nipples in its proper position can be recreated.
